Frederick Diehl, 61, route 2, Appleton, died at 11 o'clock Tuesday evening at his home after a lingering illness. He was born Aug. 8, 1872, in the town of Harrison, and married Helen Merkley there on March 15, 1897. For 19 years he had lived on a farm on Highway 10, in Grand Chute.
He leaves his wife; four daughters, Mable and June at home, Mrs. Norbert Scmitzer, Menasha; Mrs. Nick Langdyke, Appleton; four sons, Henry, Frederick, and Woodrow, at home, and Louis, Menasha; three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in charge of the Rev. F. M. Brandt. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call at the residence from Thursday afternoon until time of the funeral.
