Mr. Russell Hanson

Mr. Russell Hanson, Sr., 78, of Sarepta, LA passed away Friday afternoon, March 6, 1998 at the Town & Country Nursing Home in Minden following a long illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 9, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bailey Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Charles Woolley officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.

Mr. Hanson, a native of Walkerville, AR and a lifelong resident of this rea, was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA and was a retired logging contractor.

Survivors include one son, Russell "Rusty" Hanson, Jr., of Sarepta, LA; three daughters, Francis Sue Colvin, of Dubach, LA; Evelyn Glenn, of Little Rock, AR; and Patricia Morris, of Tyler, TX; three sisters, Hazel Johnson, of Springhill, LA; Irene Ketchum, of Cotton Valley, LA; Gladys Autrey, of Bernice, LA; three brothers, Haskell Hanson and Vernon Hanson, both of Farmerville, LA; and, Arvis Hanson, Sarepta, LA; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Gene Hanson, Teddy Hanson, Travis Smith, Jason Hanson, Edward Hanson and Jeffery Hanson.
