RITES SET FOR FORMER RESIDENT
Services for Mrs. Harry Zachardy to Be Held at Akron
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma M. (Seifert) Zachardy, 62, of Akron, died Tuesday at 11:00 p.m. after an illness of three months, will be conducted Saturday morningat 10:00 from St. Paul's Catholic Church in Akron. The Rev. Lawrence Boyer of Akron will officiate. Interment will be made in Holy Crosss Cemetery, Akron. The body is at the Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home in that city.
Born July 2, 1898 in Upper Sandusky, she is the daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Seifert. She was married in Upper Sandusky March 4, 1919 to Harry H. Zachardy, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Robert J. Zachardy, Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Tawney and Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) Burrell, all of Akron, 19 grandchildren and three brothers and four sisters, Frank Seifert, Edward Seifert, Fred Seifert and Miss Hilda Seifert, all of or near Upper Sandusky; Mrs. Paul (Ida) Leser of Marion; Mrs. Albert (Rosella) Thiel and Mrs. Robert (Marie) Fischer of in or near Upper Sandusky. A son Patrick died Feb. 10, 1950. Two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Odella) Logsdon and Miss Clara Seifert preceded her in death.
Mrs. Zachardy was a representative of the Singer Sewing Machine Co. with headquarters in the O'Neil Department Store in Akron for 23 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Akron and the Ladies Guild of the Parish.
