Velma Elaine Hegstrom Newton, 67, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 1989, at her home in Ogden, Weber County, Utah, of natural causes.
She was born July 15, 1922, in Central, Bannock County, Idaho, a daughter of Carl John and Annie Elizabeth Qualman Hegstrom.
She married Clifford Olsen Newton on Feb 2, 1946, in Ogden, Utah. They had two children:
Fredrick C.
Connie L.
She grew up in Central, Bannock County, Idaho, and lived her adult/married life in Ogden, Weber County, Utah. She was an active member of the Ogden 27th L.D.S. Ward where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher, Relief Society Visiting Teacher and Supervisor.
At that time of her death she had two grandchildren.
