Marion Marlene Hegstrom Broadbent, 55, died Friday, January 16, 1987, at McKay Dee Hospital of complications following surgery.

She was born January 13, 1932, in Central, Bannock County, Idaho, a daughter of John Carl and Annie Elizabeth Qualman Hegstrom.

She married Robert Todd Broadbent June 11, 1949 in Soda Springs, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on January 28, 1964. Her husband Robert proceeded her in death on June 23, 1984. They had six children:

Pearl (Ann)
Steven E.
Jacqueline
David A.

At the time of her death she had 16 grandchildren.

She was retired from McKay Dee Hospital where she worked as a nurses aide. She had lived in Idaho and Ogden, Utah and attended elementary school in Idaho and Weber High School in Ogden.

She was a member of the Wilson LDS 2nd Ward. She had held various positions in the Primary, Relief Society, Sunday School and as the Ward Chorister in the Ogden LDS 16th Ward. She served as President of the PTA and as a member of the Golden Spike Country Western Roundup.

She entertained at social functions singing and playing the guitar. She had a beautiful singing voice and had a talent for yodeling. Her and her daughters would often sing & yodel at family reunions.
