Eakly Services Held Tuesday For Mrs. Williamson
Funeral services for Mrs. Edgar Williamson were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Eakly Methodist church. Rev. A.F. Heusel, Carnegie, and Rev. Floyd Hines, Eakly, officiated. Burial was in the Eakly cemetery.
Mrs. Williamson, a resident of the Eakly community since 1907, died here Sunday at the Passmore Nursing Home where she had been a patient the past six weeks. She had suffered a broken hip in a fall about two months ago.
Grovie Adams was born July 24, 1884, at Indianola, Ill. she came with her parents to Eakly in 1907, and was married to Edgar Williamson on January 4, 1920. Two children were born to them. Her husband preceded her in death in
1956.
She was a member of the Christian church for several years but after moving to Eakly became a member of the Methodist church where she was active until her injury.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Copus, Alfalfa; one son, Jack of Glendale, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Steffens, Norristown, Pa., and Mrs. Thad Rubottom, Carnegie; four grandchildren and other relatives.
