Arthur "Art" Sigbjorn Julseth, 79, of 1343 Venneveol Drive, died Sunday, February 24, 1991.

He was born in the town of Porter on April 4, 1911, a son of the late Albert and Sophie (Fosdal) Julseth. He farmed in Porter for a period of time and for 37 years before retirement, he was employed by the townships of Porter and Dunkirk as a road patrollman.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Stoughton, and the Dane County Farmers Market Association. A naturalist, woodcraftsman and a farmer who loved the out-of-doors, he planted many trees in Dane and Rock counties.

Surviving are his wife, Agnes; two sons, John (Delores) of Cooksville, Jerald (Jean) of Earlham, Iowa; two daughters, Judy Loy of Crystal Lake, Illinois and Jeanne Julseth Vernon) Heinrich of Appleton; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Edwin V. Julseth of Cooksville and a sister, Helen Christine of Cooksville.

The funeral was Wednesday, Feb 27, in the First Lutheran Church. Rev. James Schwarz officiated. Burial was in the East Side Cememtery, Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church Improved Access Fund.
