Juan was a resident of Cebolla and more recently of Chama for the past few years. He was predeceased by his beloved parents Paul and Margaret Archuleta; brothers: James, Leroy and Felix; and niece Ernestina Archuleta.

Juan was survived by his brothers & sisters: Bobby Archuleta (wife Ruby), Loyda Rodella (husband Steven), Irma Valdez (husband Greg), Terry Martinez (husband Joseph), Shirley Archuleta, Arlene Archuleta, Lorraine Pacheco (husband Max), Luis Archuleta (wife Nena), Ernesto Archuleta, Pinky Jacquez (husband Gabe), Tony Archuleta, Pablo Archuleta (wife Susan), Richardo Archuleta, Gilberto Archuleta (wife Jennifer); godmother & Tia, Mary Leyba; and by many nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts.

Juan devoted the last 19 years to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, he was the supervisor of the Chama district. Juan enjoyed life to the fullest; his heart was ranching & farming in his Ranch in Cebolla. He was a devoted brother, uncle & friend he will be greatly missed.

Public visitation and Rosary were held 23 February 2011 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A second Rosary was recited 24 February 2011 at the Santo Niño Catholic Church in Cebolla. Mass of Christian burial was on 25 February 2011 at Santo Niño Catholic Church in Cebolla. Burial followed at Cebolla Cemetery.
