WATERVLIET - Earl Clinard, 65, of East St. Joseph street, an employee of the Watervliet Paper company, died suddenly Sunday afternoon at his home. Dr. A. J. Dalgeish, deputy medical examiner, ruled the death as due to a heart attack.
Mr. Clinard was born Jan. 18, 1895, in Bangor township, the son of the late Zimri and Rose Clinard.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Lewis and Mrs. Robert Russell, both of Benton Harbor, Miss Ruby Clinard and Mrs. William Russell, both of Watervliet and Mrs. William Barker, of San Jose, Calif.; one son, Larry, at home; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Phillips of New Orleans, La., Mrs. Bertha Disbrow and Mrs. Etta Frazier, both of Hartford, and two brothers, Harry, of Bangor, and Henry, of Lawrence.
The body is at the Hutchins funeral home here, where funeral arrangements were incomplete this forenoon.
CLINARD RITES HELD
WATERVLIET - Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Hutchins funeral home here for Earl Clinard, 65, of East St. Joseph street, who died Sunday afternoon at his home.
The Rev. Emerson Minor, pastor of the Watervliet First Methodist church, officiated.
Casket bearers were Charles, Wilbur and Eldon Smith, Earl Blanshan, Ward Danneffel and Glenn Doctor.
Burial was in the Watervliet cemetery.
