Born July 29, 1907, in Shippenville, she was the daughter of Alvin and Kathryn Updegraff Swartzfager. Mrs. McClain was a homemaker and was a member of the Methodist church.
She was married Dec. 16, 1927, to Raymond A. McClain, who died June 16, 1982.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Veness of Jacksonviille, Ill., and Donna Jolley of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McClain was preceded in death by one son, Thomas R. McClain; three sisters, Veda Kiser, May Lundin and Edith Pusey; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Reed and Ruth Lebda; and one brother, Mont Swartzfager.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St., Clarion.
Interment will follow in the Clarion Cemetery.
