-to his son, Dabney Carr Slayton 1776-1812, died Glasgow, Barron. Ky. Dabney married in April 1800 to Elizabeth Bailey 1776-1856-1864.(they had six children.);

-to his son Cullum Holman Slaton 1799-1856 born Lickinghole, St. James Parish, Goochland, Va., died Glasgow, Barron, Ky.. Cullum married his first wife October 1817-1818, Spicey Jane Nichols 1799-1845 She was born in Amherst, Virginia and died in Glasgow, Barren, kentucky. They had 10 children.

*Cullum Holman married again to Nancy H. Deweese, in 1845 in Glasgow, Barron, Kentucky and they had six children.

-to his son my great grandfather, Charles Henry Slaton 1832-1897. He married Eliza Caraline Rippey,1839-1872, Nov. 16, 1858 in Sumner, Tennessee. She was born in Westmoreland Sumner, Tenn. and she died there from the result of her last daughter Mary Caldonia Slaton birth who was my grandmother. They had five children.

*Charles Henry married a second time to Nancy A. "Nanie" Roberson Aug 1872 in Sumner County,Tennessee. He and his family followed his brother, Walter Holman Slaton to Wood County, Texas, after thier father's estate was settled. He bought land and farmed in Wood County. They were listed in the Garland, Dallas, Texas 1880 Census.

Charles and Nancy buried a child in Sumner County, Tennessee in 1876; buried a child in Garland, Dallas, Texas in 1880; and another, Spicey Caraline Slaton age 16 in Rockwall County, Texas. She Was the daughter of Charles Henry and Eliza Caraline Slayton.

Brother Walter Holman Slaton died 1893 in Mineola, Wood, Texas and is buried there.

Charles Henry Slaton (my great grandfather) became very ill and desided to take his family back to Tennessee before he died. He sold his land and they started out in December 1897. My dad Charles Henry Coe, 1893-1966 (son of Charles Henry Slaton's daughter Mary Caldonia Slaton and her husband, A.P. Willard Coe) was about four years old when they started the trip.. They only got as far as Clarksville, Red River, Texas, which is about 87 miles from Mineola where they started from.

Charles Henry Slaton died on Christmas Eve and he was buried in a cemetery in Clarksville, but I have not found his gravesite. We hope to soon then we will be able to place him in the proper Cemetery. **All records were distroyed in the courthouse by fire in Clarksville, Texas.

The family Travlers returned to Mineola, Wood, Texas after Lillian M. Coe was born to Mary Caldonia and Willard Coe January 29, 1898, in Clarksviiie, Texas, sister of my dad.
