He was united in marriage to Frances Elizabeth "Fanny" Moon May 18, 1881,
Died at his daughters, Mrs. John Krambeer,who was caring for him.
He is survived by five children, Monroe Henkes, Clara (Mrs. John Krambeer),Cora (Mrs. Fred Kurth),Lottie (Mrs Joe Russell),of this vicinity, and Howard Henkes of Guttenberg,
and six brothers and sisters, Charles Henkes, of Canora, Canada, Mrs. S.G. Baughman of Los Angeles, California,Mrs. Helen Koth and Mrs. Katherine Koth of Monona, Mrs. Len Sebastian and Mell Henkes of Cresco.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, April 17th, at the John Krambeer home at one o'clock and at the Gooding church at 1:30, the Rev. E.W. Reichert of Monona officiating, with burial in the family lot in the Gooding cemetery.
