Mr. Schneider was born Nov. 24, 1903, in Elcho, WI, a son of the late Jacob and Mary (Ludwig) Schneider.
On Sept, 7, 1927 he married Helen Heimermann in Mackville. She preceded him in death April 20, 1968. He then married Mary Portman Meyers on Feb. 22, 1969 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Charlesburg.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein.
Survivors are his wife, Mary, New Holstein; two sons, Cyril (Janice) Schneider, Kaukauna; Cletus (Rita) Schneider, West Bend; five daughters, Mrs. Imelda (Eldon) Watry, St. Anna; Mrs. Priscilla (Donald) Schneider, Mrs. Mildred (Marvin) Thielman, both of New Holstein; Mrs. Beatrice (James) Schafhauser, Appleton; Mrs. Lucille (Gregory) Sukowaty, Ripon; 27 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Leona Pethan, New Holstein; a brother-in-law, Lyle (Marie) McGinnis, Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Leone Heimermann, Appleton; a step-son, Norbert (Grace) Meyers, Chilton; three step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
Besides his first wife, he was preceded by a daughter, Helen; three grandchildren and a brother, Norman.
Funeral services were at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein with Rev. Peter Klauck officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
