Sewell & Mathews Mortuary for Henderikus "Rick" Wildeboer, who died
Sept. 27 of a heart attack at age 76. Mr. Wildeboer was born July 17,
1924, in Eelde, Holland. During World War II, he served in the Royal Dutch
Marine Corps and was held prisoner of war by the Germans. In 1960, he
immigrated to Portland and was a lumber yard manager for Suburban
Lumber Co. in Aloha for about 25 years before his retirement in 1987. In
1947, he married Magdelena Gevers.
Survivors include his wife; son, Humphry; daughters, Maria Gerritsen and
Laura Wridge; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Disposition is by cremation.
