Helen E. Kohler, 84, of Hannibal, Missouri, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Smith Funeral Home and Chapel in Hannibal. Pastor Aaron Gravett will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
Mrs. Kohler was born Sept. 25, 1923, in Chillicothe to M. K. and Maude (Wilson) Holman.
She married William Freddie Kohler and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 2008.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ethel Holman, of Louisiana.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Mary Carlock and Anna Robinson; and three brothers, Clyde Holman, Marlin Holman and John Holman.
Helen retired as a billing clerk for a trucking company. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Kohler was raised in the Hannibal and Monroe City, Missouri, area. She had formerly lived in Springfield and Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church [Hannibal, Mo.].
