Mrs. Mary J. Sitser Tompkins, wife of Irving Tompkins, died at her home in Gallatin Thursday. Mrs. Tompkins was born in the town of Stanford 70 years ago, the daughter of the late Joseph and Isabelle Greenhalgh. Mrs. Tompkins is survived by, in addition to her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Sitser of Clinton Corners and Mrs. Harold Hustler of Poughkeepsie; a brother Joseph Greenhaulgh of Rhinebeck; and a stepson, Clayton Tompkins of Pine Plains. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.
