DESERET--Christina Hook Damron, age 93, died July 28, 1997 at Deseret.

Born April 12, 1904 in Tooele to Thomas and Eliza Smith Hook. Married Arnold Damron February 17, 1926 in Los Angles, California. Attended school in Delta. Received normal teaching certificate. After marriage lived in Deseret. Taught at Elementary School in Deseret. Active in the LDS Church, Relief Society being her favorite organization. Member of DUP. Won many championship award with quilts, embroidery and crocheting. At 80th birthday presented grandchildren with lovely pair of embroidered and crocheted pillow cases and the blue ribbons they won.

Survived by husband: Deseret; son: Gerald (Mae Jean) Damron, Sandy; five grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son: Carl; two sisters.

Funeral services Thursday July 31, 1997 at 11 a.m. at Deseret-Oasis Ward. Friends may call Thursday at church 10-10:45 a.m. Burial Deseret Cemetery under direction of Nickle Mortuary.
