Veda and Max lived in Torrey and Happy Valley before moving to Boulder in 1938, where they bought the ranch owned by Veda's parents. They ran this ranch for 40 years. Veda was an avid gardener. No one could grow a better garden. Everyone waited until she planted before they planted. She always had to be busy and no one could work as hard as she did. She loved to quilt and made too many quilts to count. She loved all kinds of handiwork. She crocheted, knitted, embroidered and made many beautiful things. Every one of her family has something that she made.
She is survived by her son Farlan and Mary Behunin of Boulder and her daughter Twila and Scott McDonald of Oregon; 8 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, and 12 great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max, her daughter Maxien, and all of her brothers and sisters; Edmond Christian Moosman, Frances Coleman, Welborn Moosman, Lester Moosman, Lorin Moosman, LeRoy Moosman, Harvey Moosman, Foster Moosman, Doyle Moosman, Twila McInelly, and Preston Moosman.
The family would like to express deep appreciation to the Gunnison Valley Home Health/Hospice nurses and staff and Serenity Springs Assisted Living, for their compassionate care given to Veda. Thank you so much.
