HAMLIN ~~ John C. Owen, 66, who had lived in this area for more than 40 years died
Saturday in the Callan Hospital in Rotan after a two month illness.
A well known farmer and stockman, Mr. Owen moved to Hamlin in 1907.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Methodist Church here.
Burial will follow in Hamlin's East Cemetery with Barrow Funeral in charge of
arrangements.
His is survived by his widow, Carrie Owen; four sons, Meridith Owen of Fort Worth,
George Owen of Colorado City, Cameron Owen and Jack Owen of San Angelo; one
daughter, Mrs. Bob Alexander of Spur; two brothers, Joe Owen of Fort Worth and
Tommy Owen of Garland; one sister, Mrs. Will Murray of Ranger.
