SAM M CHANDLER FUNERAL SERVICES HELD IN ARCADIA
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. yesterday in Arcadia for Sam M. Chandler, 89, a retired planter and longtime resident of Bossier Parish.
Burial was in Arcadia Cemetery with Masonic rites at graveside conducted by the Haughton Masonic Lodge. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Mr. Chandler died Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. L.G. Reisz, 121 Ogilvie St., Bossier City. He had been in ill health for several years.
He was a member of the Baptist Church of Princeton and the Masonic Lodge of Haughton.
Survivors include four daughters Mrs. L.G. Reisz of Bossier City, Mrs. Eulalia Horton of Shreveport, Mrs. William Cook, Oil City, and Mrs. F.L. Baker, Princeton; two son, W.L. Chandler of Shreveport and Rube Chandler of Bossier City; three sister, Mrs. Pliney Davis of Shreveport, Mrs. Eliza Outz of Gibsland, and Mrs. Emma Chandler of Kilgore, Tex.
