Funeral services for Mrs. Lorena Bates Pierce, age 80, of Fayetteville conducted at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial in Kirkland Cemetery beside her husband Claude Pierce who passed away in 1999. Mrs. Pierce passed away Monday evening in Donaldson Care Center.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late William Curtis and Dora Eunice Spray Bates.
Mrs. Pierce was a former employee of Serbin Fashions and Sir's Fabric, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son Claude Randall Pierce of Fayetteville, sisters Conda Evans of Fayetteville, Dorothy Bennett of Flintville, Shirley Curlee of Fayetteville, 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Bartlett, and two brothers William Clinton Bates and Paul Bates.
