THURMAN WILSON BOYD
LORIS -- Thurman Wilson Boyd, 83, died Sunday at a local hospital.
The funeral will be 5 p.m. Tuesday at Loris First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery, directed by Hardwick Funeral Home.
Mr. Boyd was born in Horry County, a son of the lateHenry William Boyd and Mrs. Sephrona Gause Boyd. He was fromer postmaster at the Loris Post Office and was president of the Loris Rescue Squad. He was a past commander of American Legion Post 41 and was past president of the Loris Civitan Club. He was a veteran of world War I, a Mason, and a deacon at Loris First Baptist Church.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. George W. Jones Jr. of Loris; a brother, harvey C. Boyd of Loris; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
