Services for Edith Olga Humphries Parnell, 97, of Choudrant, LA will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, April 23, 1999 in the Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Raymond Crofoot assisted by Rev. Tim Johnson.

Interment will be in Sibley Cemetery in Choudrant, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Parnell died Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in Ruston, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Choudrant and a member of the United Methodist Church of Choudrant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Algie Parnell and by granddaughter, Christy Parnell Justice.

Survivors include four sons, Clinton Parnell & wife, Celess, of West Monroe, LA, James Parnell & wife, Frances, of Choudrant, LA, Ray "Junior" Parnell & wife, Beverly, of Dallas, TX and Jack Layne Parnell of Houston, TX; one daughter, Maudie Mae Sanderson & husband, Jack, of Choudrant, LA; one brother, Leroy Humphries of Boston, MA; two sisters, Viva Pruett of Monroe, LA and Ruth Ross of DeQuency [sic DeQuincy], LA; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 1999 at the funeral home.
