Thomas was the son of Thomas Smith III and Eunice Nancy Lewis.

Thomas married Mary Polly Eversole 10 Jun 1810, in Clay Co KY. They had 8 children that I know of.

Thomas was the 4th Great Grandfather of Lee Smith and our children Staci and Todd Smith's 5th Great Grandfather.

to Isaac Taylor

This indenture made and entered into this 11" day of August 1828 between Isaac Taylor of the county of Clay and state of Kentucky of the one part and Thomas Smith and Polly his wife Paul Henson & Margurett his wife David Steward and Sarah his wife Moses Jones and Kesiah his wife Robert Smith and Frankey his wife of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of thirty five dollars to us in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day granted barganied & sold unto the said Isaac Taylor all our right title and interest in two tracts of land situated in Clay County on Goose creek being the land which Thomas Smith died seesed & possessed of and fell to us heirs of the said Thomas Smith Deceased & now with the above named heirs do by these presents convey to the said Isaac Taylor our equal and undivided interest in the two before mentioned tracts of land together with all our right of Dover with all and singular its appurteuances free from the claims of us and our heirs or assigns and all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming in through or by us in any way whatever the land hereby conveyed is the land where Thomas Smith resided at the time of his death and said decedants interest in a tract of one hundred acres perteuted to said Thomas Smith Deed and Hugh White In testomony we have here unto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written Test.

I Abner Baker clerk of the county court afsd. certify that on the 26"d ay of October 1829 John Jones & Samuel Jones upon oath proved this with in Indenture from Thomas Smith and others to Isaac Jones and Kesiah Jones wife of Moses Jones freely relinguished her right of Dover to the within tract of land being first examined as the law directs and the same stands duty recorded on the same day of the date afsd.
