Writer, Artist, Activist. Though Alex was an accomplished person in his own right, Alex is best known as the close friend of AIDS activist Pedro Zamora. Alex encouraged Pedro to audition to cast in The Real World San Francisco to further the goal of educating the general public on AIDS and people living with AIDS. After Pedro's death in November 1994, Alex helped to fulfill Pedro's commitments. Alex himself died of AIDS complications in 1997.
