OHIO AND INDIANA PIONEER
A BIOGRAPHY OF ISAAC OVERMYER, by Laurence Overmire, 2009:
Isaac moved with his parents to Sandusky Co. when he was 14. He became very accomplished at manual labor, especially at swinging an axe. Isaac and his family moved to Pulaski Co., Indiana in 1853 along with John Overmyer and John Anderson and their families. They accomplished the journey in less than two weeks with several yoke of oxen and a team of horses, driving their cattle and sheep along the way.
Isaac's tombstone is in major disrepair. Perhaps some of Isaac's descendants would consider replacing it?
