GREAT GRANDSON OF REVOLUTIONARY WAR CAPTAIN JOHN GEORGE OVERMIRE

Levi was the son of Peter and Mary (Hodge) Obermoyer. He married Roseanna Anderson.

On July 26, 2009, a memorial service was held in the Richland Center Church by the 2009 Overmyer National Family Reunion. The church was nearly filled to capacity by the descendants of Revolutionary War Capt. John George Overmire who came from all across the country to meet long-lost relatives and pay respects to their ancestors. After the service, Levi's monument was re-dedicated in honor of all the Overmyer forebears who had gone before. The ribbon on Levi and Roseanna's stone marks the significance of this event.
