CODER Emanuel F., 87, of 40 Walnut Street died Sunday, August 14th, 2005, in Sterling Healthcare Center after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Martha M. (Schmidt) Coder; a daughter, Coleen M. Coder of Clinton, MA; two grandsons, Andrew C. and John J. Bowne III, both of Clinton, MA, many nieces and nephews. Born in Ulysses, NE, on March 29th, 1918, he was the son of the late John B. and Gabriella (Racicky) Codr. He was educated through the Ulysses school system and attended Creighton University, Omaha. He worked as a cost estimator for GTE Government Systems in Needham, MA for over twenty-five years before his retirement. He was a proud member of the Republican National Convention and spent many years in Bellingham, MA volunteering his time to the Polls. He was a member of the VFW Post 7272 in Bellingham, MA. His enjoyments included fishing, golfing, helping those in need by working for Meals on Wheels, but most of all, his passion was spending memorable moments with his two beloved grandsons. Emanuel was a US Navy veteran of WWII.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 17th, 2005 at 10:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Clinton, MA. Internment will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Condolences may be sent to the family at the website of www.menallywatson.com. Please omit flowers.
