Albert Messer, widower of Myrtle Pelfrey Messer, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011. He was a 91 year old native of Crum, West Virginia, the son of the late Morgan and Sophia Fergerson Messer, a Marine veteran of WWII, and a retired coal miner. He is survived by a son, James Messer of Mt. Sterling, a daughter, Alice Messer Summer of Crete, Illinois, 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral will be 2:00 Saturday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Porter Cemetery. Visitation is 1-2:00 Saturday
