MRS. LAURA WUNSCH
Mrs. Laura Wunsch, 83, widow of Otto H. and a Town of Mosel resident, died at 8 a.m. today at Rocky Knoll Sanitarium and Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past year.
A native of the Town of Mosel, she was born on Jan. 20, 1882, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Illig. She attended district school and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Mosel.
On April 6, 1902, she was married to Otto H. Wunsch, also of Mosel, at Immanuel Church.
The couple operated a Town of Mosel farm which is presently being operated by a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Diefenthaler. Her husband died in 1963.
Mrs. Wunsch was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mosel, the church's Ladies Auxiliary, the Women's Auxiliary No. 19 Sons of Union Veterans, and the Woman's Relief Corps.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Adelia) Diefenthaler of Mosel; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A son, George, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church near Haven. The Rev. William Robinson, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels from 2 p. m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday, and then at the church from noon until time of service.
