Dean Bretton, 73, Minneapolis, died Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Salina Regional Health Center. Dean was born December 14, 1936 in Phillips County, Kansas to Hugh M. and Edna M. (LaRue) Bretton.
He was united in marriage with Marie Holloway on August 30, 1958 in Stockton. Dean worked for Emery Berry as a farmhand and he retired from Ada Grain after many years of service.
Survivors include his wife Marie of Minneapolis; his children Richard Bretton and his wife Rita of Minneapolis, Nancy Kiefer and her husband Paul of Berthoud, Colorado, Jerry Bretton and his wife Nadine, and Betty Gibson and her husband Rusty all of Minneapolis; his brothers Dale Bretton and his wife Joyce of Glade and Darrell Bretton and his wife Elaine of Kensington; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and inturnment will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Minneapolis, with the Rev. Louis Andersen officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Love INC or the Golden Wheel Senior Center and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle, Minneapolis, KS 67467
