Mrs. Martha Heywood
Bennington – Mrs. Martha Cornelia Heywood, 81, a resident of Bennington since 1901, died at her home early Sunday morning. She was born at Canton, Indiana, May 22, 1875, and moved to Kansas when she was three years old. Her husband, Elmer, died in 1954. Survivors include two daughters', Mrs. Stella Mae Swartz, Villa Park, Ill., and Mrs. Grace Hardesty, Salina; two sons, Harold, Salina and Austin, Kingman; one sister Mrs. Tillie Kaatz, Lincoln, Neb.; three brothers, George Austin, Culver; Ray Austin, McPherson, and Ralph Austin, Collyer; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Bennington Methodist Church, the Rev. W.E. Cassell officiating, assisted by the Rev. Robert Myers. Burial will be in the Bennington Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fouts Funeral Home, Minneapolis.
