FORMER VETERINARIAN; WIDOW, 3 DAUGHTERS, 5 SONS SURVIVE
Edward A. Bartz, 80, of 185 Rose Ave., died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Hospital.
Born June 5, 1885, in Iron Ridge, Dodge County, he was the son of William and Bertha Miler Bartz.
He married Lena Schneider May 9, 1909, at Wheaton, Minnesota. A retired veterinarian, he was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include Lena, his wife; five sons, Robert, city, Bernard, Billings. Mont., Donald, Mesa, Ariz., Larry Anderson, Reno Nev., and Rev. M. James Bartz, Longmont, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Crooks, city, Mrs. Edgar Rudolph, Ripon, and Mrs. John Hidok, Colfax, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer, Rosendale; and one sister, Mrs. William Gransee, city.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Uecker-Witt funeral Home, Elder George Sherman officiating. Burial will be in Rosendale Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today.

Funeral services for Edward Bartz, who died Saturday, were held at 11 a.m. today from the Uecker-Witt funeral Home, Elder George Sherman officiating. W. G. Wallington was the soloist and Mrs. Watson Waehler was at the organ.
Burial was in the Rosendale Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ed Koepke, Ervin Stendt, Sylvester Laudoff, Lawrence Laudoff, Lyle Tabbert and Gordon Ford.
