Odessa was the daughter of the late Rev. John S. Harris and the late Minie Lou Brooks. She was born in Satnley County, NC, 4 January 1907.

She was married to the late Roy C. Stallings, Sr. on 8 February 1930. She is survived by her son, Roy C. (Bill) Stallings, Jr. and daughters Betty Jo, Kay, and Jane. Also surviving are 11 grandchilren and 15 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Stallings was a homemaker, a Sundy School Teacher, Choir Member, Hosiery Mill Employee and her last employment was at the age of 75, Cook at the Country Home Rest Home.

After the death of her husband Roy, 29 Sugust 1971, Odessa learned to drive a car. After several attempts trying to get her license, her daughter Betty Jo, told her brother "Bill", "You take her this time!" Bill took her and she got her LICENSE! A MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT in her life.

Her only car was a Buick Skylark, Blue in color.

Mrs. Stallings was a charter member of Central Baptist Church in Kannapolis, NC. Also a charter member of Eastside Baptist Church in Concord, NC. Her Church membership was at Young Memorial Baptist Church when the call came for her to depart this life. She loved her church family very much, even though she could not attend because of poor health.

As we say "Good Bye" in this life, we will say"Hello" in Heaven. From her oldest gaughter Betty Jo, to her youngest Great-grand-daughter Mollie. She finally said"I will meet you in Heaven!"
