Lemuel Davison is the son of Samuel D and Mary"Polly"Wilson Davison. He is one of twenty children.
His father Samuel D Davison was born in Kentucky,where he married and reared a family of ten by his first wife Elizabeth Callahan Davison. She died in 1822,Kentucky.
Before moving on to Andrew Co. Missouri he married his second wife Mary"Polly"Wilson. Ten more children where born to this union. In 1850 Samuel and Mary moved to Page County,Iowa and settled on a farm in Buchanan Township. There he spent the reminder of his days,
dying at the age of seventy three years.He is buried in the Clarinda Cemetery,Clarinda,Page County,Iowa. Mary Davison 1804-1895 died in Page County,Iowa.She is also buried in the Clarinda Cemetery.
