OBITUARY - October 3, 1947

MRS. JANE WITTER AGNEW, Wife of W.H. AGNEW of 1114 Lincoln Avenue, Tyrone, died last night at 10:45 o'clock in Mercy Hospital following an illness of one week attributed to a rheumatic heart conditon. She was the daughter of A. A. and Isabelle (Moore) WITTER and was born at Harrisburg Sept. 3, 1875, and came to Tyrone when 3 years of age. On March 10, 1910, she was married to Mr. AGNEW in Tyrone by Rev. George P. Gunter. She was the last member of her immediate family. Surviving are the husband and two sons, GEORGE of Philadelphia and ALBERT of San Antonio, Tex., and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. R.L. AGNEW, also of San Antonio, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. AGNEW was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Hannah Heuston Bible class and the Tyrone chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Friends will be received at the home after 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.
