Johnnie Wallace was born in 1928 to Sarah Lou (Dillingham) Wallace and John Edmund Wallace in Morrison, Tennessee. In 1949, he married Miss Lela Mullen in Sweetwater, Texas. With Lela, he had three daughters: Darlene, Betty, and Judy. In 1954, their relationship ended. John was living in Houston in 1955 and had two sons with Miss Jonie Faye Miers, David (Dwayne) and Rickey. Johnnie and Miss Miers never married. In 1958, he moved to Grand Prarie, where he married Miss Maggie Poteet and had a daughter, Susan.
In 1968, Johnnie was the victim of ruthless shooting by a neighbor. Complications from his injuries never healed and about a year later, in 1969, he passed away.
He is gone but not forgotten. Loved forever.
