Married Adolph Schwope January 9, 1895, in Wathena, Kansas.
In 1916, Adolph and Bertha moved to the Ivanhoe, Oklahoma/Follett, Texas area. Their home, built by Adolph, sat one mile south of the Oklahoma Panhandle border on what is now road 1454. Their granddaughter, Janice French Frazier was born in the home in January 1917. The Pinckard and Elmore Families were neighbors. The home was later sold and move into Follett.

RITES AT FOLLETT FOR MRS. BERTHA L. SCHWOPE
Mrs. Bertha Louise Schwope died at her Follett home on Thursday morning of last week, July 26, at 2:30 o'clock, aged 68 years, 10 months and 26 days. She had lived there many years and was the mother of Ray Schwope of Shattuck Motor Company.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Follett last Sunday afternoon, at 4 o'clock. Burial was in the Follett Cemetery.
