Funeral services for Frieda Aman 80, of Mound City will be Friday at 10:30 AM at the Mound City Community Center. Pastor Dennis Fonkert officiating.
Burial will be in the Mound City Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be Thursday starting at 2:00 PM with the prayer service starting at 7:00 PM at the Kesling Funeral Home. Mrs. Aman passed away February 7, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge.

Frieda was born Oct. 11, 1930 to Otto J. and Maria (Rieger) Kundert of rural Java. She attended the Kundert and Mound City grade schools, Java and Herried high schools graduating from Herried High School in 1948. Frieda went on to attend Northern State College in Aberdeen.
Frieda married Herman Aman on May 3, 1953. They spent their entire married life in Mound City, until she entered the Golden Living Center in Mobridge in April of 2003. The Amans have three children, Marie, Rebecca and John.
Frieda taught rural school, worked for the Extension Services and other offices in the Campbell County Courthouse. She retired in 1991 after serving as a clerk for 25 years in the Mound City Post Office. Frieda was a people person and enjoyed her jobs working with the public and visiting with friends. She was an avid reader and collected butterflies. She rarely forgot to send a card for a birthday or anniversary.
Frieda is survived by her daughter Rebecca Aman of Tea, SD, son John J. (Kimberly) Aman and granddaughter London Aman all of Freeman, SD., sisters; Alice Kundert of Mobridge and Lorraine Slocum of Rapid City, SD; brother; Roy Kundert of Alcester, SD and brother-in-law Walter Aman of Oregon as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman in 2004, daughter Marie in 1959, brothers, Gust, Herbert, Victor, and Otto and sister Hilda in infancy.

In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to the Compassionate Care Hospice, Caring Bridge.org, Campbell County Cancer Society.
