Funeral services for the Rev. Lorey A. Lowery, 60, of Clarks, were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9th, at Riser and Son Funeral Home Chapel at Columbia with the Revs. J. C. Sweeny and David Bebee officiating.

Burial was at Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson.

The Rev. Mr. Lowery, pastor of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Caldwell Parish, died Wednesday at Columbia Heights Hospital after a brief illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hattie Lowery of Clarks; four sons, Waymon Lowery of Grayson, and Lorey A. Lowery, Jr., Johnny E. Lowery and Dewayne Lowery, all of Clarks; eight daughters, Mrs. Lorene Laffoon, Mrs. Lenora Peterson and Miss Edith Lowery, all of Grayson, Mrs. Hattie Wheeler and Mrs. Hazel Futch, both of Monroe, Mrs. Glenda Sims, of Calhoun, Mrs. Valonia Guerrero of Columbia, and Mrs. Voncille Parker, of West Monroe; three brothers, Tommy Lowery and Earl Lowery [only two named], all of West Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Boyett of Monroe and Mrs. Jim Howard and Mrs. Lessie Moody, both of Columbia, and 23 grandchildren.
