Waymond A Lowery
(March 15, 1939 - July 18, 2009)

Funeral services for Mr. Waymond Lowery, age 70 of Clarks, LA, will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Bobby Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Lowe Cemetery in Kelly. Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home from 5 PM to 9 PM.

Mr. Lowery was born in Riverton, LA on March 15, 1939 to the union of Lorey Alexandra, Sr. and Hattie Stapleton Lowery and passed from this life on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at LSU Medical Center in Monroe. Mr. Lowery was an attendant for the water and sewer in the Town of Clarks and was a member of Life Assembly Church of God in Olla. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a wonderful and precious husband for 30 years and a wonderful father. Everyone who knew him loved him and he will be missed very deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Lorey A. Lowery, Jr., and his sister, Laverne Sims.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Grant Lowery of Clarks; two sons, Waymond Bruce Lowery of West Mount, IL and Waymond Dean Lowery and wife, Carol of Benton, AR; daughter, Charlotte Lowery of MS; two brothers, Dewayne Lowery of Columbia and John Lowery and wife, Sue of FL; seven sisters, Lorene Laffoon of Clarks, Voncile Parker of West Monroe, Lenora Peterson and husband, Aubrey of Grayson, Volonia Guerrero and husband, Albert of Columbia, Glenda Sims of Calhoun, Hazel Futch of West Monroe and Edith Smith and husband, Larry of West Monroe; four grandchildren, Katherine Hearn, Josh Taylor, Corey Morgan and Anna Lowery; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Glen Belk, Glen Barnhill, Charles "Flukey" Braddock, Ellis Spangler, Daniel Boone and Scott Meredith.
