Mrs. Louise T. Loftus
Mrs. Louise Thur Loftus, 96, of Ann Arbor, Mich., widow of Fay Loftus and a former resident of Waterville and Deansboro, died Monday, April 3, 1989, in the Saline Evangelical Home in Saline, Mich.
She was born Feb. 21, 1893, in Appenzyd, Switzerland, daughter of Joseph and Anna Marie Fessler Thur. She was married to W. Fay Loftus in 1925 in Mount Vernon. The couple lived in Deansboro for many years and later on Madison Street in Waterville. Mr. Loftus died in 1956. Mrs. Loftus moved to Michigan in 1975. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Barton of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Mrs. Ralph D. (Ann Fay) Hubregsen of Southport, Conn.; a son, Edward M. Loftus of Wayland, and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the Kloster-Northrop Funeral Home and at 11 from St. Bernard´s Church. Burial will be at St. Bernard´s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 Thursday evening. Donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Loftus to the Rosary-Altar Society of St. Bernard´s Church.
