Daughter of James Matthew Phillips and Elizabeth Ann Reynolds of Columbia County, Arkansas.

"Lou" married Joseph Turner Pullig, a widower with nine children, on 2 Sep 1869, in Columbia County, Arkansas. Lou was twenty years younger than her husband.

Joseph T. Pullig died in Aug 1890. Lou moved to Stephens County, Texas with her daughter and four sons by Jan 1894 - the month her son Mack Gregg Pullig died. Lou's daughter, Ida, married James Frank Williams in Stephens County in May 1897.

In 1900, 60-year-old Lou was included on the Stephens County census with sons Charles W. and Benjamin F. Pullig.

About 1905, Lou moved to Knox County, Texas with her two sons. The 1910 and 1920 censuses of Knox County, Texas indicate Lou was living with her son, Charles W. Pullig and family.

Lou's grave is unmarked.
