Surviving: daughter, Mrs. Joyce Griffin Johnson of Tarboro; sons, James Douglas of Tarboro and Kenneth Jones, both of Tarboro; sisters, Mrs. Lucille Bowen of Ormondsville, Mrs. Mattie Moore of Farmville, Mrs. Thelma Dennis, Mrs. Marie, Nobles and Mrs. Dorothy Carraway, all of Ayden; brother Dan Braxton of Ayden; five grandchildren.
