OBIT: The Paris News, 5 Feb 2011 — BOGATA — Zela Mae Putteet, 86, of Bogata, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Bogata Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Daniels officiating. Burial is to follow in the Bogata Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Home. The family is to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was born Oct. 9, 1924, near Turner Lake in Red River County, the daughter of Gilbert and Alma Hamilton Duffee. She married Alford Lane Putteet Feb. 23, 1946. He preceded her in death Nov. 13, 1999. She is survived by her children, Rita Johnson of Grand Prairie, Sue Davies, Vickey Morse and Brenda Yancey, all of Texarkana, Pat Yeatman of Bogata, Rickey Putteet of Fort Worth, Connie Mack Putteet of Avery and Regina Stewart of Irving; two sisters, Hazel Woodall and Pansy Willingham, both of Dallas; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters and Burl and Ellis Moore.
