Clara Belle Layton

The funeral service for Clara Belle Layton will be held in Mills and Mills chapel this Saturday morning, starting at eleven o'clock. The Reverend Claude H. Lorimer will officiate. Burial will take place in Olympic Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Layton died Tuesday in an Olympia hospital at the age of seventy-seven. Her home was at 714 Frederick Street. She was born in Elwood, Kansas, and came to Olympia in 1942. Surviving are five sons, Leland and Adrian, both East Olympia, Harley, Olympia, Forrest, Grand Ronde, Oregon, and Ruel Layton; four daughters, Margie Weber, Erma Adams, Lila Reinhart, all of Tacoma, and Beverly Krembs, Olympia, a brother Russell Hinman, Sheridan, Wyoming; twenty-two grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Clara Layton Dies At Olympia, Wash.

Mrs. Clara Layton, a former Sheridan resident, died Tuesday at Olympia, Wash.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday from the Mills and Mills funeral home, Olympia.

Survivors include a brother, Russell Hinman, Sheridan; nieces and nephews, Mrs. Dorothea Mattox, Mrs. H. A. Grant, Mrs. C. C. Townsend, Rolland Donahue, all of Sheridan, and Herschel Donahue, Thermopolis.

Nine surviving children live in Olympia and Tacoma.

Her husband Howard Layton is buried here.
