Heart Attack Proves Fatal To Mrs. Hilton, 90

Mrs. Mary E. Hilton, 90, died at 9 a. m., today at her home, 1314 Oak Street. Death came suddenly as a result of a heart attack.

Mrs. Hilton was the daughter of William and Hannah Copple Snow, and was born Dec. 18, 1854, in Jefferson County, Ill. She had made her home here since 1900, coming here from Dorchester, Neb.

Her marriage to Wiley J. Hilton occurred Nov. 6, 1873, in Jefferson County, Ill. She was a member of the United Brethren Church.

Surviving are three sons, William E. Hilton, Muscatine, John W., of Leguna, Calif., and Earl, of Kansas City, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Edna Brower, Muscatine, Mrs. George -Gilson and Mrs. Fred Jones, both ot Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Minnie McCloskey, of Rock Island, Ill.; one brother, Charles Snow, Smithland, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Etha Stewart, Washington slate, and Mrs. Emma Jones, Illinois; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one daughter, two sons, six sisters and four brothers.

The body is at the George M. Wittich Funeral home where it will remain for services to be conducted at 2 p. m., Thursday by the Rev. C. P. Walz, pastor of the United Brethren Church.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
