She has been an earnest consistent Christian for many years, having been a member of the Methodist Church while in Iowa, and at the time of her death was a member of the "Whosoever Class" of the Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, Kansas.
She has been in poor health for many years and was relieved from her sufferings by the hand of death on the morning of Nov. 16, 1921, at the age of 61 years and 22 days.
She leaves to mourn her loss two brothers, two sisters, a large number of nieces and nephews, and a host of kind and loving friends who will miss her but hope to meet her in the better world.
The funeral service was held at the Manning home Nov. 17, 1921, by Rev. H.W. Course, assisted by a quartet of ladies from the Lincoln Presbyterian Church. The body was then laid to rest in the beautiful cemetery at Minneapolis, Kansas.

**Martha Jackson Manning was actually her half-sister, the daughter of Malinda's mother Rachel Myers Jackson Hunter and Henry Jackson.
