Born 8 August 1932 La Salle, He was reared in the area attended Greeley schools and was graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1959. He lived in this area his entire life with the exception of the time he served with the USNavy during the Korean War. He entered the service 25 June 1951 at Denver and received his discharge at San Diego,CA 25 March 1955. He was a member of St. Paul's Congregational Church and a life member of Evans VFW Post No. 6624. For the past five years he was employed by Greeley Neon Co.
He is survived by his mother Elizabeth (Kiser) Schneider Wanek of Greeley; stepsister Mrs. W.Joe Griebe of Greeley and three brothers, step-Ralph Allen Bakel of Medford, OR; Paul William and Willard Frank Schneider of Greeley & Lakewood, Colorado. Military Interment Linn Grove Cemetery, VVW Post No 6624. Pallbearers: Ronald & Terry Griebe, Wes & Greg Schneider, James T. Martin, and Eric R. Feuerstein.
