Ollie Ruth Hacker
Ollie Ruth Hacker, 74, died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999, at Com-munity Hospital South. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Bedford. Her parents were Jesse A. and Ruby M. (McHenry) Bennett. She married Ivan "Babe" Hacker. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Dan Hacker of St. Petersville, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Barnhill of Bloomington and Luann Ochs of Fishers; three sisters Betty Lou Dorsett of Fort Wayne, Katherine M. Fox of Harrison, Ark., and Sarah Ellen Dill of Arkansas; three brothers, Thomas L. Bennett of Greenwood, Donald R. Bennett of Shawnee, Kan., and Charles E. Bennett of La Crescenta, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Ann Bennett; and two brothers, William J. Bennett and Arthur Van Bennett.
She was a lifelong artist.
She was a member of Mount Auburn Methodist Church at Stones Crossing, Southside Art League, Brown County Art Guild and the Indiana Artist Association.
The Rev. Joe Emerson will conduct a service at Allen Funeral Home, 3000 E. Third St., Bloom-ington. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
